Englishwoman discovers sunlight

In what was perhaps geographic Europe's biggest discovery since an Italian guy discovered North America, an Englishwoman has recently discovered sunlight. The most notable feature is that it brightens surfaces. She also discovered that this effect is partially negated if one places an object such as one's arm between the source and the surface. She also discovered that the source is the sun, and went blind soon afterwards. This discovery appears to exhibit properties of both waves and particles.
