An inaccurate statue of Ariel that is in Denmark. She would be far too comfortable.

Denmark is a country where something is rotten.

In its early history, a weird frog dude named Grendel kept killing guys in a mead hall, so a guy named Beowulf came in and killed Grendel and Grendel's mother, but got killed by a dragon himself when he was really old. Wiglaf avenged him, but then the Swedes threatened to invade. The early Germanic settlers of England liked this story so much that they repeated it over and over until a monk could write it down.

At one point, they invaded England and set up a place called the Danelaw where they imposed their law.

One time, the king of Denmark was killed by his brother, who took over and his wife. Then the old king's son eventually grew a pair of balls and killed pretty much everyone involved and himself. This story was the basis for The Lion King, but Simba only killed Scar, and then became the king himself.

Then there was a guy named Hans Christian Andersen who wrote depressing fairy tales which Disney stole and made not depressing.

In modern times, the Danes invented the Legend of the Bionicle.
